Pecha Kucha San Francisco's 60th event limited edition commemorative poster (limed edition series of 60 unique hand-made screen prints). The poster design and screen printing were a collaboration between myself and artist/designer Nick Wilson, at The Facebook Analog Research Laboratory, located at Facebook's Menlo Park campus (Nick was the director of the Lab). I met Nick while I was contracting at Facebook earlier in the year, and consequently invited him to collaborate on the poster design with me. The main poster design was black, and as such black ink was screen printed on top of 60 test prints he had at the Lab. The test print artwork that served as the base colors under or design was result of many many print runs the Lab did for other print project, which over time added up to many many layers of abstract design and color. We screen printed our design on the posters together at the Lab. Included below are the final poster, as well as the initial draft design we started with before switching to the overlapping circles. Nick & I also gave a presentation/talk during the Pecha Kucha event about our collaboration and how we co-created/produced the poster.
